Bio/Extra info: JT Moore was born in Rivers Manitoba and grew up as an Air Force brat traveling around to all parts of Canada and even to Germany, finally settling at CFB Edmonton. His life seemed like a whirlwind of picking up and settling down only to leave school again for his next station. This moving around was hard and sometimes disappointing because he would have to leave friends and start over again. With all this change there was always one constant - Music.

His father was an accomplished guitar player and any time he could pick it up he would be playing a mix of Johnny Cash, Elvis, Eagles, Roy Orbison or even some Beatles. JT always found something therapeutic about music but more specifically Country music. It is the stories that are being told that just seemed to make sense at any age. JT has a very musical family, singers, guitar players, drummers, piano, saxophone, trumpet, harmonica and even the knives and spoons. Family gatherings were looked forward to as it would always seem to break out into a jam of old family favorites. JT has been performing since he was about eight years old and took guitar lessons early in life. He found it to be quite the challenge so he switched over to drums and excelled at it. JT continues to plays drums, but returned to playing the guitar as he started serious song writing.

With a passion for poetry, JT enrolled in several literature and songwriting classes to learn how to best put his words to music and has been songwriting ever since.

Over the past 5 years JT has been writing and perfecting his craft with CCMA award winning songwriter Thomas Wade of Thomas Wade and Wayward, musician John Thiel as well as performing at venues and Festivals all over SW Ontario with a high energy country band The Cadillac Cowboyz formed with a couple original members of the Canadian classic rock group HELIX.

One of the songs JT wrote A Dollar Short And A Dream Too Late was produced in Nashville by Jim Allison, who has produced award winning songs for the likes of LeAnne Rimes, Del Reeves, Billy Ray Cyrus, Reba McIntyre and many others.

The multi talented producer/musician John Thiel of Calgary, Alberta whom has performed with many established artists including: Tom Jackson, Shirley Lange, Lisa Brokop, Chris Cummings, Beverly Mahood, Lace, Brad Johner, Gil Grand and Shania Twain) produced several other songs written by JT including This Is Your Day, Will You Stay Young, Thanks Mom For Being My Dad, Time For Something New, Daddy's Little Girl and I Am Canadian.

JT has had much success over the last few years that he has been pursuing his lifelong dream of being a recording artist, winning several awards for his vocal ability and showmanship throughout the mid-western U.S. and Canada.

Including:

*Regional Finalist on NBC Television's Nashville Star in 2008

*Interviewed and filmed music video style (spring 2007) for a new CBC (daytime) Television program called Living Calgary (Still being broadcast on rotation).

*Took 2nd Place at the 2007 Country105, Lamles, and Ranchmans Rising Star Competition in Calgary.

*Won the 2002 Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame National Singing Competition in Calgary, Alberta

JT Moore - Music/Performance Resume, continued

Inspiration:
JT finds inspiration for his songwriting in his life experiences and the people around him or in some cases not around him (original song Thanks Mom, For Being My Dad).
He has a huge respect for the Armed Forces, as he knows how hard that life can be but also the risk that these brave people take. JT has been searching for just the right words to say how proud he is of the unsung hero's of Canada in a way that gives a little something back, and put's a smile on their face at the same time. JT has finally written the original song that will do just that, called I Am Canadian.

This is how the dream to sing, write and record his music came about. So he set some small achievable goals and began his journey.

The culmination of this touching and inspirational CD creation has been a life long dream for JT and I think you will agree that it was been well worth the wait.
