The Manitoba Country Music Association Board Members:
 |
|
President - Dennis Simcock
contact: dsimcock@shaw.ca
I am long time country music fan who grew up in the Toronto area, learned to play guitar and played with 2 different bands going through high school. I play bass and electric acoustic guitar. I moved to Winnipeg in 2000 and quickly got into the music scene, did a lot of singing around town and eventually took a position on the MCMA board. Over the past 4 years I have invested in a lot of recording gear and presently I do some recording for friends and would like to eventually open my own studio. There is a lot of talent in Manitoba that needs to be heard and I believe we can make a difference. Please sign up and join the MCMA!

Vice President/Site Admin - Chris Ising
contact: cising@mts.net
I began my musical journey at the age of seven when my parents signed my older brother and I up for music lessons, after seeing us imitate our favorite rock stars (mainly KISS) using upside down pots for drums and cardboard cutout guitars. I started off on guitar but switched to bass in jr. high. After a few years playing rock and jazz I picked up the guitar again and started writing Country music. I was quickly taken in by the multitude of emotions that country music brings to life through it's instrumentation and vocals. In 2005 I signed my first single song publishing contract and currently have a few songs floating around Nashville looking for a cut. www.myspace.com/chrisisingmusic
