MCMA Member Code of Conduct Policy
All members of the Manitoba Country Music Association, by virtue of holding valid membership are deemed to agree to the within Code of Conduct Policy.
We believe that everyone, regardless of gender, race, age, ability, or sexuality, has the right to be and feel safe, respected and welcomed to participate in any programming offered by the Manitoba Country Music Association. Discrimination, racism, or harassment will not be tolerated. Individuals engaging in such behaviour may be subjected to a suspension or termination of their membership, at the sole discretion of the Board.
The Manitoba Country Music Association is committed to treating everyone with respect and dignity. We believe that we are strengthened by diversity and inclusion. We value passion, excellence and integrity.
Terminating or Suspending Membership
1) Members may resign at any time by notice to the Board of Directors. Members resigning shall not be entitled to a refund of any portion of fees paid to the MCMA.
2) Any member may be asked to resign or may have their membership suspended or terminated by ordinary resolution of the Board of Directors, in its sole discretion, if in the opinion of the Board, acting reasonably, any such member in any way endangers, hinders or interferes with the reputation or the ability of the MCMA in achieving its objectives or violates the Code of Conduct Policy.
3) The MCMA shall not be bound or required to re-admit any member who has resigned or whose membership has been terminated for any cause whatsoever.
4) A member who has been asked to resign or has had their membership suspended or terminated by the Board of Directors may appeal in writing within thirty (30) days after being duly notified, to be reinstated. They shall have the right to appear before the Board of Directors to state their case.
